Youth Speaker of the Year 2009

Thanks to the schools who participated: Loreto Normanhurst, James Ruse, Normanhurst Boys' High, Killarney Heights, Baulkham Hills, Roseville College and Tara Anglican School for Girls.

The students attended training workshops, heats, semi-final competitions and then the final, held at Burwood RSL in September.

Aimee Sutton, winner, gave a passionate and inspiring speech called "It's Time," while Harnsle Joo reminded us that "Sexism Lives." Christopher Walsh of Normanhurst Boys' High School was placed 3rd. He spoke about the role of the monarchy.

2008 winner Isaac Freelander of Normanhurst Boys' High School opened the  competition proceedings.
